My Journey to Childminding

I have been looking after children for over 14 years since the age of 15. From working as a babysitter whilst studying childcare, to a Childminder Assistant for 6 years to as a prestigious nanny within a very strict and professional household with high net worth families in Mayfair for a good few years. As soon as I became a mother, I've struggled finding the perfect childcare that suited my needs. I wanted to find a particular childcare provider which provides a clean, secure and safe environment (and according to my OCD). Somewhere children are well looked after as well as given the best early years education.

I've tried nurseries, which didn't work for me, personally, I thought it looked like a kid's factory (as one of the parents called it) it was jam packed with children running all over and I found that children didn't get the 1:1 assistance they needed to be well cared for.

I tried a few local childminders but since I am so fussy on cleanliness and food quality I wasn't too happy.

So I decided that since I've always been around children and working in the childcare industry for so many years, why not welcome the idea of becoming a childminder.

I, then, spent 1 year doing my childminding qualifications and getting registered with Ofsted, clearing up, doing lots of building work inside and out refurbishing, buying new toys and equipment to turn it into a mini nursery but still a home.

As a little bonus of originally coming from the paradise Island of Mauritius, I also teach French through play and music during our circle time to the children.

I am so proud of my childcare provision and exceptional service that I provide.

I find great pleasure seeing smiles on those little ones faces and reassurance on parent's that walk into my home everyday.
